BUILDING D3. 1-7 – BAROCHAMBER AND HYPERBARIC MEDICINE is a modern medical institution – center that has the following roles: treatment of a certain number of diseases with oxygen under increased pressure (hyperbaric oxygen therapy – HBO), adequate medical insurance of diving activities in part of the water area, testing divers and equipment in hyperbaric conditions, improvement of underwater activities.
The main activity, i.e. treatment with oxygen under increased pressure, takes place in a special stationary chamber – a barochamber.
In addition to the basic HBO treatment area, i.e. the room for housing the barochamber, the building includes the following groups of facilities: medical areas, technical preparation, communication areas (windshield, corridors), common areas (sanitary facilities, changing rooms, storage rooms, pantries) and an office area. Technical areas are located on the first floor.
BUILDING D3. 1-8 – MEDICAL GAS STATION for the needs of the Rijeka Clinical Hospital Center complex in Sušak for medical gases oxygen, compressed air 5 and 8 bar, vacuum and nitrous oxide.
